About the symposium

Under the theme “Channel Variability, Sediment Dynamics, and Resilience of River Systems”, the eighth symposium brings together researchers, policymakers and practitioners to explore how Asian rivers evolve under climate variability and human pressures, and how river science can support sustainable management.

Held jointly with the IAG Working Group on Advancing Theory and Modelling of River Systems and hosted by Noakhali Science and Technology University, the meeting connects scientific research with field observations and practical river-management challenges.
